I go from a fistful, to nothing in a matter of days, amazing!
Even the complaints about the wrongly directed mail has come to a stop.
One throught I had on that was to catch the postie,(afterall they come late enough these days) and point out their error maybe even check the names on the envelope. That is something our old postman on this round, Roger, always did as a matter of course.I appreciate that "things ain't what they used to be" to quote a well known song, but a bit of common sense would not go amiss. not that yougsters seem to have a lot of that.

If you think that the postal problem has gone away, think again. We have been to the sorting office, we have spoken to the Postie and we have talked to HHS.
As we have not got a regular postie, they can not be expected to solve the problem. The fault lies with HHS and the residents of FH. Did they think that our numbers started at 41? or that we did not live in Inverness close? even though we have street names so well displaced that a blindman would have fallen over them!!!
Where are those clever people at HHS? surely they must have come across this before. It appears that
there are quite a few households affected, so I can not see this going away just yet.
Told you the postal prob had not gone away. We could have had a large bunch of flowers for free...I pointed them in the right direction.
Most worrying was the Ambulance that was meant for FH but went to the wrong address, I hope the patient did not suffer.
Contact the Post office with the Poste Code as the Triangle had the same problem, it took a little persuading & I think HHS had to contact them too, before it was sorted out. Post is a small problem, Ambulance, Police or Fire Brigade are more important & should be made aware of all new builds as they are occupied
I was at Freeman House the other day, going in Elmfield entrance to visit my mum - not my usual way in, usually come in via Inverness close. I noticed that postie had been but not 100% sure if the letter I noticed for inverness close was left by postie on top of tenants post boxes or had been taken out of tenants box and left on top of post boxes for postie to deliver to correct address - as no instructions left on envelope etc. hope your managing to follow so far? Told my mum of the letter but as she seemed unsure about it all I decided myself to collect the letter and deliver to the correct address in Inverness close, seemed it could be important vehicle insurance docs.The letter was clearly addressed with a name/ house number/ and Inverness Close - no where did it say 'Freeman House' Inverness Close etc. just Inverness close, so unsure how postie seemed to think it should of gone into Freeman House?? What I am puzzled about - and this is only summizing that the letter was placed into the tenants post box - if the letter was actually in the tenants post box corresponding flat number to the Inverness address - if you get my drift - then why did not the tenant just pop over to Inverness close and post it into the rightful owners letterbox or knock on their door to say what had happened? Not sure how long it had been on top of the post boxes either - as mum wasn't sure of that either.
